Pack Break - 2009 Topps Allen & Ginter

Just getting back into baseball cards in mid 2009 I missed out on the first 2 years of A&G.  I've been tempted to pick up packs when I've seen them at shows or occasionally when spotted at retail, but I have resisted until I found one lone pack left in the $1.59 discount box at my local Target.

Jackpot!  I knew there were minis in the set, but I never really researched this set to see what the different sets were.  I'm really starting to see why these non-baseball mini sets are so popular with a lot of people.  Now off to find a checklist to see what else is in this set.

Who?  The card's back says it was the A&G code champion from 2008.

#NP50 Jair Jurrjens - National Pride

Another keeper!  Jurrjens is a native of Curacao and interesting enough was a huge fan of former Braves slugger (and former Curacao native) Andruw Jones.

Fun stuff.  I'd buy more of these in a heartbeat, but every time I check those discounted boxes all I find are High School Musical and Hannah Montana cards!  Oh well, at least I got 2 cards to keep.
