The current-ish players I collect have either just ended their careers, crashed and burned, or are just so-so. I avoid the superstars because it's too much. The guys I like are the fan favorite Charlie Brown's Joe Shlabotnik type.GCAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14713246271197550543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3798723981356546986.post-13410011042890439182018-06-05T15:48:45.871-04:002018-06-05T15:48:45.871-04:00I forgot to take into consideration that winning u...I forgot to take into consideration that winning usually equals more cards later in the season or the following season...and the exact opposite as well!flywheelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17404740580161509052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3798723981356546986.post-10293158386466148982018-06-05T15:12:05.265-04:002018-06-05T15:12:05.265-04:00I'd say that my collecting is affected by winn...I'd say that my collecting is affected by winning because I'm more inclined to look through my cards or hunt new acquisitions when the Cubs are doing well. If they're in the midst of a losing streak, I have sometimes noticed myself purposely avoiding cards and other baseball related stuff because I'm "mad" at them. I sometimes am not a rational creature.Tony Burbshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17916383902665781661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3798723981356546986.post-8959220297405997482018-06-05T14:53:12.456-04:002018-06-05T14:53:12.456-04:00My thought was similar to Jason's, but the opp...My thought was similar to Jason's, but the opposite. I haven't had increased interest in collecting Cubs in the past few years, but the number of players appearing in inserts and such has increased. I will admit, though--given the choice between the Cubs of the late 90s and the Cubs of today, I would take today. I suppose that's the influence of winning.Trevor Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09207010676916110937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3798723981356546986.post-3463582927101312032018-06-05T14:16:48.180-04:002018-06-05T14:16:48.180-04:00The Reds have been so bad these last few years tha...The Reds have been so bad these last few years that the only way I'm affected by it is there's less cards every year to collect of them as a team.Registered Historyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06080959283447645523noreply@blogger.com
