Wrapper Redemption packs in!
February's Affordable Group Break got a bonus in the form of two 3 card Rated Rookie Extra packs from Panini's 2014 Donruss. By now the 3 players have been identified so there is no mystery as to who is in the packs. However if you didn't already know here are the contents:

February 2014 Affordable Group Break - 2014 Donruss Box 2
I got home late from work on Saturday and I just didn't have the energy to sit down in front of the computer to open the last box. My wife offered to help so we each took 12 packs and got to rippin'. Bad news that our streak of good luck ended with the 1st box. While Panini advertises 2 autos and 1 mem in each hobby box...this one fell a little short. I've already filled out the form w/ Panini online and I'm mailing in the box top tomorrow so hopefully soon we'll get our missing auto and mem. So until that happens the total card counts will be a little off. For now enjoy the pictures of the inserts and the one lone hit the box did yield.

In addition to waiting for our missing hits, I'm mailing in the 48 wrappers for the two mail in packs. The players in the packs will go to the people that picked those teams. Just seems appropriate.
I'm going to do my best to get these cards in the mail tomorrow, but it may be Tuesday depending on my work schedule. A big thanks to everyone that participated. I'm not quite ready to return to hosting a group break every month, but I may pick another upcoming product in the coming months. If you have any suggestions of what to break, shoot me an e-mail with your suggestions.

February 2014 Affordable Group Break - 2014 Donruss Box 1
Well the first of two boxes of 2014 Donruss has been opened and I've got to say I love this product! Good news is the collation wasn't as bad as what others have seen and we got an extra hit! Below you'll find the video for those of you that like that sort of thing. You can also skip on down for scans of the inserts and hits. At the bottom you'll find a card count for each participant to see how well your teams performed and how you stack up against others.

CaptKirk24 and The Lost Collector tied for the most base cards with 16 each, however The Lost Collector leads everyone with a total of 5 inserts. The 4 hits were even distributed, however 3 of the 4 hits went to randomly assigned teams!
I hope everyone is satisfied with the first box. If I hadn't already given up set building this would be a fun set to go after. The cards in hand are beautiful and I think everyone will like them. I'm going to try and do the 2nd box tomorrow after work. I may do another video, but if I do expect to see another post just like this one...only w/ updated card counts for all. Thanks everyone!
