Sweet Sigs Lumber Edition

Yes.  I'm still here.  I've just hit the proverbial wall.  I haven't done much with cards lately and I'm not sure when that passion will come back.  That said I noticed this evening I scanned several cards a while back to share that I haven't done anything with.  This is one of those cards.

I've been a casual fan of Mike Sweeney now for several years...more for who he is off the field than his on the field performance (not that he's been a bad player).  I have a few autos of his I've picked up for cheap over the years, but I was so excited to come across this card months ago.  I didn't buy a lot (if any) in the early 2000's so I had never seen one of these Sweet Sigs auto cards from 2001 Fleer Showcase in person...until now.

I love the thin piece of wood embedded into the card.  Add the autograph and you've got yourself one sharp looking card.  To date this is my favorite card in my growing Sweeney PC.

2007 Topps Tribute

Who doesn't love cheap autograph cards...especially when they are on card autos and of a player you've actually heard of!  I don't often search out for Mike Sweeney cards anymore, but every once in awhile I come across a card of his that I don't have.  This particular card had a starting bid of $.99 on eBay and I was the only bidder.  The seller even had decent priced shipping at a buck fifty.  The scan doesn't do the card justice either.  It's very think and very very shiny!
