Happy Valentine's Day!
Today's post will be short as today I'll be spending my time w/ my wife and daughter once I get off work. Honey, if you're reading this I hope you'll be hungry as I'm bringing home dinner as well as a special dessert treat for you.
I should also mention since this is a trading card blog that my wife was gracious enough to stuff 2 packs of 2011 Topps and a pack of 2010 Topps Magic football into my Valentine's day card that she gave to me this morning. Thanks babe!

Trades w/ the Daily Dimwit, Cardboard Conundrum & Things Are Funner Here
I apologize for the delay in getting these trades posted, but between home life and the group break I'm currently hosting things have been a bit hectic. This past week brought several new trade packages to the mailbox and I wanted to take a second to show off some of the goodies I got.
First up is the Daily Dimwit. A while back I sent him a few UD 20th Anniversary cards and some random Houston Astros.
In return he sent me several cards off my want lists for 08 UD Masterpieces, 10 Topps Allen & Ginter and 10 Tristar Obak. I really appreciate the cards since they fill in several holes on those sets.
Julie from Things Are Funner Here sent me a 2011 Topps Platinum Diamond parallel along with a few 2008 Topps inserts and singles. I've got a nice little stack of Roy Halladay cards and some random Phillies to send in return now.
I haven't even finished collating my 2008 Topps yet, but I know I have a lot of holes so the cards are very much appreciated.
Matt from Cardboard Conundrum and I have been e-mailing back and forth trying to work out a deal. He finally enticed me to trade away my 2010 Topps National Chicle Yaz auto I pulled from a pack last spring along with a few other cards.

Many Braves fans didn't seem to care for Francoeur, but I always enjoyed watching him play while he was in Atlanta. I can never pass up cards of his I don't already have.
In addition to these cards I also received several random Braves cards and a few WWE and WWE Platinum cards from my want list. This had to be one of the best trades I've made in my first year card blogging. Thanks Matt!

Sunday Verse
Today's verse ties in with tomorrow - which we all know is Valentine's Day. The verse comes from 1 John 4:9-10 and is rather simple and to the point.
" We love Him because He first loved us. "
Valentine's Day cane be a tough time for a lot of people. I know for example my mom who lost her husband, my dad to cancer 14 years ago - Valentine's probably isn't her favorite day of the year. We all must remember that we are all loved. No matter your creed, gender, race or if you have a "sweetie" to spend the day with - you are loved.

Remember - if you helped spread the word of the break on your own blog I'll be throwing in a few more random cards from my stuff. If the Dodgers don't get more cards then I'll also throw in some "pity cards"!

Group Break VIDEO - 2007 UD Elements
I believe the box of 2005 Topps Total should arrive tomorrow (Saturday). They shipped the wrong box - sorry for the delay. So while we wait I decided to open the box of Elements. I wanted to save until last, but I can't wait any longer! I couldn't wait to open this box ever since it arrived in the mail last week. Before today I've never opened a pack of this product so I was eager to get the packs opened. I thought the outcome of the box was pretty good. Watch and comment what you thought of the box's contents.
I'll work on a post with the hits from this box as well as a update to date card count for each team. Look for it shortly. I would very much be up to opening another box of this in a future group break assuming enough others were on board. I'm still gathering ideas for next month's group break. As soon as the last box arrives I'll rip it and post the contents. Stay tuned everyone!

I"m back with the exciting 2nd half of the 92 OPC box. OK that was a little sarcastic. I know this box may not yield the best cards, but its nice that it is giving each team a fair amount of cards.
