Blogger's "Maintenance" Issues Interrupt Group Break post!

After finally seeing that I had access to my Blogger Dashboard this afternoon I see that I lost more than half of my per pack listings for the first box (1995 Topps) of this month's group break!!  The team card tally is also gone.  Only the first 15 packs' contents remain.  The post was saved, I'm not sure what happened.  I also lost several comments on other posts.  This really really sucks.  I have already sorted all the cards from the box of Topps so I can't re-type up the rest of the packs.

I will make an attempt this weekend to remedy this situation as best possible.  I have already scanned all of the base cards that I wanted to highlight along w/ all the inserts.  I'll add those to the end of the post I had already started.  I can say that just about every team faired really well with most teams getting at least one (if not more) of the Spectra Light / Cyberstats cards.

The other boxes will be done by video most likely so stay tuned.  Again - I'm sorry I can't share the pack by pack rundown.  All 36 packs were listed before this...whatever happened w/ Blogger happened.

2011 Topps Gypsy Queen Want List & Trade Bait

It's earlier than I would usually post a want list for such a new product, but since it's on the minds of a lot of collectors & bloggers I figured why not go ahead and get the list out there.

My want list may be a little extensive at the moment, but I'd like to at least complete the set minus SPs first.  However I won't say no if I'm offered any SPs that I don't already have.

Over the last few weeks it seems like a lot of bloggers are hosting group breaks and if you are like me you only have so much $$ to go around.  That said I hope you find this month's offerings and prices to your liking.  Teams start as low as $5.00 shipped.  We're busting 3 different boxes with possible bonuses depending on how successful the sign ups are.

First box is 1995 Topps Series 1.  36 packs per box, 1 Spectra Light card per pack.

This box oughta beef up each team's stack plus give us one per pack insert.

The second box was a hobby exclusive, 1996 Fleer Emotion-XL.  18 packs per box.

I am very excited about this box.  The matte framed cards are reminiscent of the current paper frame cards from Gypsy Queen.  Inserts include Legion of Boom, Rare Bleed (pseudo 3D cards), D-Fense and N-Tense.

The third and final box (?) is 1997 Pacific Prism Invincible.  36 packs per box.

I've wanted to offer up a Pacific product ever since I started doing group breaks, but prices are all over the place and haven't always fit into my range until recently.  From the box's odds we should get 2 Platinum parallels (2:37) and 1 Sizzling Lumber (1:37).  Other inserts include Gate Attractions (1:73) and Sluggers & Hurlers (1:145).  Gems of the Diamond are seeded 2 cards per pack.

Depending on how many teams are claimed I should be able to throw in some bonus packs and or blaster(s).  If the whole break fills up I'll throw in a bonus box:

1997 Upper Deck Series 1.  
I believe this is the first year of game jersey cards!  28 packs per box, 12 cards per pack.  Inserts include:  Meet the Stars Trivia (1:3), Rock Solid Foundation (1:7), Power Package (1:23), Ticket to Stardom (1:24), Amazing Greats (1:138) - these are wooden cards!  Finally Game Jersey cards (1:2500).

A Big Thank You!

A few days a go I posted my 2011 Topps Heritage want list and within a few minutes (or so it seemed) I had several people offer up cards from the list.  Some of the arrived in the mailbox over the weekend and I couldn't be happier with the generosity of these people.

First up Derek from Tomahawk Chopping sent me 15 cards from the list, while Ryan from This Card Is Cool added another 29 cards.  Ryan also included several various older Braves cards which are appreciated.

Several others also offered up cards so I'll be sure to update my Heritage want list ASAP.  Thank you to everyone that has sent cards.  I'll make sure to send some things in return for the help.

The Braves aren't getting any hits tonight, but I did!

I'm sitting here going back and forth between the blog and watching the Braves/Phillies game - wondering when someone will step up to the plate and do something.  Anyhow after I finished my previous post I sat down in front of the TV watching the debut of Braves pitcher Julio Teheran while I opened the 2nd Gypsy Queen blaster.  Right off the bat in the first pack I did something the Braves haven't done...I got a hit!  (technically the Braves beat me to the hit tonight...but you know what I mean)

I'm kinda a closet Red Sox fan so this is a really cool pull.  My wife is from New England and all her family are die hard Red Sox fans (my nephew's middle name is even Fenway!) so I may keep this card.  If someone were to offer up a similar Braves framed mini relic we'll talk, otherwise I'm just going to enjoy this card.  By the way I beat the odds again.  Ortiz is part of Group A - seeded 1:56 packs.  Wow, 2 blasters and 2 hits.  I think All About Cards' luck has rubbed off on me!
