And there you have it! I really enjoyed opening this box. Probably one of the best boxes I've ripped since I started hosting group breaks. I wish some of the base cards shared the horizontal photography that the Game Breakers inserts used. My Braves didn't perform like I was hoping, but I hope everyone else is happy w/ their teams' performance. Next up - 1995 Sportflix.
I am thrilled with the Mark Thompson insert. Not only is he a Rockie and a former University of Kentucky player, that card is awesome. It looks like a primitive (well primitive now...cutting edge in 94) GIS or remote sensing design.
ReplyDeleteAwesome break, especially for this Giants fan. I got every Giants base card (plus one dup) and all 3 inserts the Giants have in the set - I am very pleased. And thanks for showing the Bonds card!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great box. I'm missing only one base card for the Indians(65 Charlie Nagy)and one insert(16 Manny Ramirez) and no dups. It's rare for a box to have a mix like that. I didn't do as well with the Phillies. Oh well, BTW they are for trade to anyone interested.
ReplyDeleteGlad everyone liked the box. I'd be game to try another one sometime since there are several Braves in the insert sets that didn't show up in this one.
ReplyDeleteHow could I not like you getting me both Frank Thomas cards from the set? I love the long cards. I bought a ton of the basketball version of this set back in the day.
