I'm a television star!

I got my 7 minutes in the spotlight tonight. The local CBS station in Charlotte aired my story of my Transformers toy collection. Since I've mention it here before I thought I'd share the video from the broadcast now that it has aired. I'm happy with it - they didn't make me look like the dork that I really am!

    1. Thanks! I think it's true what they say about being on camera though...it did add several pounds!

  2. Transformers aren't as cool as vintage vending machines.... HAHA Just Kidding! DUDE, I thought you just dabbled in toy collecting, but I had no idea you had so many Transformers. Awesome collection!

    1. Oh I collect more than just toys and cards too. Video games are also a big part of my room. You may have seen the arcade machine behind me towards the end of the piece. A lot of people who know I collect don't know that I have so much! Even my own mom was surprised!

    1. Over the last few years it's been cards and then toys, but I've collected toys far longer than cards.

  4. Wow, they gave you a lot of time and you held up well. I don't know how I'd look if I had to talk for that long!

It's interesting that they went with your alias through the whole piece, I didn't know TV media would do that.

    Nice collection!

    1. I specifically asked them not to use my real name. I have A LOT of money tied up in that room and I didn't want someone tracking me down! It was interesting seeing what they edited out as they asked a lot of questions. It was fun though. I wasn't nervous at all. When you get to talk about something you love it's easy.

  5. I like the fact that almost the entire collection is out-of-box. Toys are meant to be played with.

    1. Amen brother! Part of the fun of Transformers is transforming them. And yes, I can transform them as fast as I did in the video!

  6. Very cool. I'm a Firefighter up here in Jersey. Last summer we went to a house for a Carbon Monoxide alarm, and the place was loaded with Transformers. If I can find the pictures, I'll send them to you. This guy had quite a collection as well.
