2005 Upper Deck Pro Sigs Results

Well the hit in the box wasn't as good as I was hoping for, but I hope everyone has enjoyed the break so far.  Below you'll see some of the cards a little more up close.  After the results are posted of the last box we'll use Random.org to raffle off the inserts of the unclaimed teams.

 

The base cards are pretty nice.  Each card has the Upper Deck logo, jersey number, Pro Sigs logo, player name, team logo and a facsimile signature stamped in bronze foil on the front.  Backs give you a little info on the player as well as stats from the last few seasons.

 

Flyball inserts come one per pack.  I'm guessing from what I see on the backs this was some sort of game.  Note on the front of this Mariano Rivera card it lists a web address to log onto to make the card interactive?

Each pack also contains 2 First Class Prospects.  The packs incorrectly lists these at 1:4 packs.  I wasn't familiar with the majority of these young players, but here a few RCs that at least show up in the Beckett listings.  From top to bottom, left to right.  Ubaldo Jimenez, Justin Verlander, Anibal Sanchez, Prince Fielder, Stephen Drew

Silver parallels.  Nothing flashy here - bronze foil replaced with silver.

Serially numbered gold parallels.  I know the foil doesn't look gold - it's more of a shiny reflective silver than gold.  Manny is numbered 073/350 while Mike is numbered 257/350.  Both cards will be randomed off.

The guaranteed hit was a Signature Sensations autograph of Red Sox prospect Abe Alvarez.  Yeah, I never heard of him either.  At least his signature looks cool.  This card will be randomed off.
