" I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. "
We all go through life trying to handle everything that is thrown our way...especially men. We try to be the best husband/boyfriend, the best father, the best worker to support our families and so on and on. We may try our best, but ultimately we will fail at something. Our shoulders just aren't broad enough to carry the weight this world gives us. That's one of the best thing about Jesus. He tells us to cast all our problems and our worries on Him. Place these issues in His hands and move on.
I'll be the first to admit that it isn't always that easy. I constantly put things in His hands and soon take them back when I don't get the reaction or answer I'm looking for. Sometimes I think I know what is best for me...that I know what is better for me than God does. Boy am I stupid! However when I do place my worries in His hands and leave them there I am amazed at the outcome. I just have to remind myself that my time table and God's aren't always the same.
Right now I am in one of those stages of life where it's hard to see the positive in everything. There are financial issues we have to face with only having one income with another baby on the way. Insurance issues which alone are enough to make you cry yourself to sleep each night. Even now I still don't know how things will all work out in the end. The one thing that I do know is that God doesn't give us anything that we can't handle with His help. I constantly have to remind myself of this verse from Philippians and remember that no matter how bleak things may be or may look - with God's help nothing is impossible!

Grace & Peace Bro.
One of my favorite verses. Also, both Indians' pitcher Justin Masterson and Red Sox outfielder Daniel Nava sign "PHIL 4:13" under their autographs and former Patriot and current Raiders DE Richard Seymour has PHIL 4:13 tattooed on his arm.
ReplyDeleteThis is a verse that speaks to all of us who have the belief in Christ as our Savior. I know from personal experience that He has given me the strength to make it through many trials that have come up. Keep your eyes on the prize at the end is a favorite saying of mine. Keep your eyes on Him! I continue to pray for you and your family.
ReplyDelete@ George - that's cool about those players, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteRomans 12:12. Very simple. Works for me. Godspeed!
