Today's verse comes from 1 John 4: 9-10 (NIV)
" This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. "
When I stop and think about the sheer magnitude of God sending his only Son for me...for me it just blows my mind. I am so flawed. I fall short of the expectations He has set for me every single day. Sometimes I don't understand why He loves me as such. Sometimes I don't understand why He continues to provide for me. Scratch that...I know why. He loves me. Plain and simple. It's easy to love people who love you. Let's all try to reach out this week and show love to people that don't love us. It could be a total stranger. It could be another family member.
